Stubborn molluscum on the knee

Stubborn bumps

Mollenol standard is for older people and stubborn pus filled bumps. Some bumps do not respond quickly. This is because the infection has penetrated deeply with a thick layer of skin forming the bump.

Apply Mollenol 2 to 4 times per day and where and when you can cover with a Mollenol PatchMollenol Hydrocolloid Patches soften the skin, cover and help limit the spread from pus filled bumps.

Mollenol standard should not be used on sensitive areas like the neck, face, underarms, back of knees, private areas, groin and buttocks. Use Mollenol Sensitive for these areas.

    Mollenol Regular

Posted by Kim on 16th Jan 2024

It works. I first saw 3 small tiny bumps on my pubic in April 2023. They lasted 3 months then I burned them off. In September 2023 I noticed a dozen on the inner thigh of both legs. Very very small bumps and a quick observation confirmed it was molluscum contagiosum. Over the next 3 months I used benzoyl peroxide,  salicylic acid,  tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar,  retinol, duct tape. Nothing worked and as soon as the old bumps dried up and the duct tape successfully scared me, new bumps would pop up. I was actually very depressed. In December i purchased mollenol regular, it came with a few sample patches which was a nice touch. I used it 1x day and followed the online instructions best I could. None came in my package. I changed pajama pants each night. Only wore pants, jeans or leggings once before washing. Never touched the area without gloves. Preparation: Used wipes to wash the area with dettol or tea tree or antibacterial soap while showering. Pat dried with paper towel or used a blow dryer. Application: I would apply using gloves, a new clean finger each bump or a smear over the infected area. My only criticism is more clarity could be provided on the application technique. The product smell is quite strong. 1st week I began to notice the area inflamed, bumps a tiny bit bigger,  and the bandaids (dollar store) scared me some more. After 2 weeks the bumps were 90% dried up and no new ones developed. The area continued to be inflamed but I stuck to it. After 3 weeks I had smooth scared skin on my inner thigh but no bumps. I discontinued using it. After 4 weeks I continue to have no bumps. I want to add, read the pdf instruction sheet, read the instructions on the website, shake well before using. I recommend 100% only regret is I wish I bought it sooner.

    thank you

Posted by Susan on 12th Dec 2023

my son had it for over 18mths when we started using it and we noticed that they started to go away almost immediately especially with the ointment and patches (but I also think his body had just started to fight it off itself). With my daughter she had just started getting them hadnt had them for more than a month, we use it twice a day and they get no where near as big and do go away completely, however they do seem to spread more, like she has WAY more than my son ever had. I don't think her body has recognised it as a virus yet, but it's a relief to see them disappearing before becoming really large.

my boy suffered for 3 years before I used this. I used the stronger one for him and all cleared up now. Just bought the sensitive for my little boy as he has one or two and noticed a reduction after two days already

    So bad

Posted by Pete on 13th May 2023

My son had it bad and this product eliminated them completely. Very impressed considering our local GP’s kept telling us there is nothing that could be done.

    5 weeks of continuous use

Posted by Maryam on 25th Apr 2023

I’ve spent about $150 on this product and unfortunately would’ve been better off taking my daughter to the dermatologist. We apply the drops and patches daily and have only seen 15% improvement. So sad, I had high hopes in this product. Save your money. Response: Sometimes for stubborn molluscum 5 weeks is simply not long enough. beginning of the end

Posted by Mandy on 18th Mar 2023

Mine arrived yesterday and my daughters spots are disappearing after only one night. I bought the regular Mollenol and patches. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of this awful virus!

    2 weeks

I had a small localised infection and an early diagnosis which I think helped. Your product nailed it within about two weeks. I am quite surprised why GP's don't recommend it?

    Definitely recommend it!

Posted by Ansulette on 10th Jan 2023

This actually worked so well for us! My son had a big cluster of Molluscum on his back, GP said to leave it but the mollenol got rid of it within 2-3 weeks, no scars. Definitely recommend it!
